UMJCA received its last major approval on July 16, 2019 from the Village of Great Neck Architectural Review Board in connection with a 75,000 square-foot Jewish community center. The $18 million community center is set to be built on a 2 acre parcel at 189-195 Steamboat Road, and is expected to include an auditorium, a pool, gyms, basketball courts and meeting rooms for after school activities and senior programs. Paul Bloom, of Harras Bloom & Archer, LLP, represented the non-profit applicant in obtaining the required zoning approvals from the Village of Great Neck Zoning Board and Architectural Review Board.
